This week, Doosan-Bobcat announced the selection of Charter Software as one of its two preferred business system vendors for its Bobcat dealers as Navision, the software long-used by Bobcat dealers, is being phased out.

Charter was selected after a rigorous review of business system vendors based on their prominent industry relationships with suppliers and dealer associations, their ability to serve a variety of dealer types—ranging from smaller, one-location dealerships to larger multi-store operations, and high ratings from users of their Aspen business management system. Robust rental capabilities, built-in CRM and mobile applications, an open schema, existing integration with Bobcat and the flexibility to be either hosted or installed are among the standout features of the Aspen system.

As a preferred vendor, Charter Software will work with Doosan-Bobcat on new e-commerce integration as well as enhancements to existing integration between the Aspen system and Bobcat. This integration will provide Bobcat dealers the ability to send and receive new types of transactions directly from Aspen. Not having to manually key transactions into Bobcat’s intranet or Aspen will greatly streamline their parts and services processes.

“We are so excited and pleased to one of the two business management system vendors chosen by Doosan-Bobcat as a preferred vendor to serve their dealers,” says Charter Software president Anne Salemo. “Having this opportunity to work more closely with them allows us to do what we do best—our ability to develop seamless supplier integration with our software is something I’m quite proud of,” says Salemo. “Our mission is to bring equipment dealers proven, intuitive, integrated and cost-effective business solutions that help increase their profitability,” she says. “Our Aspen hosted solution, which provides dealers with a lower initial investment option, also helps us in accomplishing this goal by making our solutions available to dealerships with varied structures and budgets.”
