The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) announced two ways technicians can re-certify:
- submitting Continuing Education Units (CEU)
- taking a shortened recertification test (only available online) for each individual certification
In order to simplify the recertification, the EETC has designed an option allowing technicians to use continuing education and manufacturer service schools as credit. This program allows technicians to submit copies of training certificates and original certification letters in lieu of taking the Technician Certification tests again. Technicians who qualify are re-certified for an additional three years.
