Honda has set an all-new Guinness World Record with its Mean Mower V2, going from zero to 100 MPH in 6.29 seconds. Driven by W Series and Fast and Furious Live stunt driver Jess Hawkins, who kept the pedal to the metal to reach a top speed of 150.99 MPH. In doing so, she beat the Honda Mean Mower V1’s 116.87 MPH speed record as well. Guinness World Record rules dictate that the Mean Mower must remain capable of cutting grass and sort of look like a mower, but the similarities end there: It uses the 200 HP 999cc engine from Honda’s CBR1000RR Fireblade SP motorcycle and a chassis setup developed in conjunction with Honda-backed BTCC outfit Team Dynamics, with an insane power-to-weight ratio of 1,429 HP/tonne.
