Leading UK-based tree care plant and equipment suppliers Predator Power has announced the appointment of its first US distributor. The company has also won significant international new business following successful participation in two recent US trade shows. In addition, Predator reports that its unique rear hydraulic hook-up function, which allows for the attachment of any hydraulic equipment such as a flail, mulcher or chipper, has been a key USP that has generated a lot of interest in the US market.

The new US distributor is HTC Power Products, part of the Hendrickson Tree Care group based in Kansas City, Missouri. As a distributor, the company will be actively looking to recruit new dealers across the States, as well as selling directly to end users. It will also offer full parts and technical support and provide comprehensive demonstration facilities for the Predator Power product range.

The company is already an established user of Predator technology, having purchased a Predator Power P38RX machine nine months ago. Distributor orders worth around $100,000 have already been signed. These include the new P360 and P38RX and P50RX radio controlled stump grinders that were featured at the two recent US trade shows attended by Predator. Other recent international new business wins include orders for P38RX machines to Canadian customers and a UK order for a P38RX from major operator Cleartrak EVL.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with Predator Power,” says HTC Power Products’ CEO Joe Hendrickson, “and I anticipate very
high sales interest in the US market. Our machines are compact, rugged and offer excellent return on investment for end
users”

“The deal between ourselves and HTC Power Products, and the business won at the TCI Expo 2013 and GIE+Expo, respectively in October and November, represents a very successful return on our investment in attending the two shows,” says Predator Power’s International Business Development Manager, Simon Bradshaw. “We already have a large, established user base in the UK and will be providing close marketing and technical support to HTC Power Products’ drive to appoint individual dealers across the States as well as selling directly to end users.”
