Stihl announced the launch of its Lightning Battery System, a series of three full lines of battery-powered tools.
The series is designed for homeowners who want Stihl power, with all the benefits of the battery’s low maintenance and operating costs. Stihl’s lithium-ion batteries have no memory limitation or no gradual drop in power; instead, it runs at full speed until battery is depleted. Each battery has an indicator light, allowing quick view of the battery’s charge level. More than 80% of the battery capacity remains after 500 charges.
Part of the Stihl Lightning Battery System, the BGA 45 handheld blower is exceptionally lightweight at 4.4 lbs. It requires minimal effort from homeowners to clean debris. On a single charge, the BGA 45 clears up to 13 parking spaces with a blowing speed of 85 MPH. The easy-to-use blower also comes with an activation key designed to prevent accidental use of the machine.
