Husqvarna Pledges Support Of Women’s Golf
Husqvarna has pledged to support the growth of golf for women following the 2026 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes, England, July 29-Aug. 2. The AIG Women’s Open is recognized by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major tournament.
Husqvarna believes the future of golf depends not only on attracting more women and girls to play the game, but on creating an industry where women can build careers, lead organizations and drive innovation.
Working alongside golf clubs, governing bodies, tournament partners and educational organizations, the company will focus on four key areas: Creating more inclusive pathways into golf, supporting women’s careers across turf management and technology, increasing the visibility of female role models and embedding diversity and inclusion across its golf activities.
This commitment has recently been strengthened through Husqvarna’s signing of The R&A Women in Golf Charter, reinforcing the brand’s ambition to help create a more inclusive future for the game.
Away from elite competition, Husqvarna is helping to promote careers in golf through initiatives such as The British and International Golf Greenkeepers Assn.’s (BIGGA’s) and First Green program, supporting STEM education and showcasing opportunities within robotics, engineering, turf management and sustainability. The company also participated in The R&A Women in Sport Summit, joining leaders from across the industry to discuss how organizations can create more inclusive environments and increase opportunities for women.
