Myrtle Creek Saw Shop Offers Pro Performance
MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. — Located with great 1-5 interstate access, Myrtle Creek Saw Shop provides a key market source for loggers and professional saw users of all kinds as the region’s forest economy requires high performance saws, bars, chain and specialized accessories and parts that go along with that kind of work.
Perhaps most compelling is the portal the dealership provides into the pro saw aftermarket performance business, thanks to former general manager Rich Dougan, “The Chain Saw Guy,” who hosts the West Coast Muscle Saws channel on Youtube with more than 32,000 followers. Although Dougan retired in 2001, the shop continues to take in shipped chain saws for repairs from all over the 50 states.
The Chain Saw Guy’s vast knowledge of 50 years continues to mentor the current chain saw mechanic at Myrtle Creek Saw Shop, as Dougan still works closely with the business, passing on his custom tools and saw techniques as well.
The dealership is currently managed by Debbie Pappas, who’s been a part owner there since 2004 working full time, starting as bookkeeper and stepping to the forefront of the store, especially after Dougan retired.
Located in a rural market, Myrtle Creek Saw Shop is in Douglas County just south of Roseburg, and Douglas County has been called the “Timber Capital of the World.”
