New From Ferris: Z1-PX Stand-On Mower
Designed as a step up to maximum productivity, the new Z1-PX commercial stand-on mower from Ferris combines a higher 9 MPH ground speed, Hydro-Gear ZT-3400 transaxles and increased 8 gal. fuel capacity with Ferris’ maintenance-free uptime features and commercial-grade durability. Built with heavier-duty components, including a 7-ga. deck, the Z1-PX delivers rugged capability in deck sizes that include 36-in., 48-in. and 52-in.
Designed around the needs of commercial mowing crews, the Z1-PX combines a smoother operator experience with the speed, control and durability required for demanding daily use. A 16-in.-wide suspended operator platform and outboard cleated footrests provide stability and control on varied terrain while its tunable rubber dampers help reduce fatigue. With one-hand three position selectable speed, a new linear dash layout, and magnetic height-of-cut pin, adjustments are quick and intuitive so landscapers can stay focused on mowing.
To help crews spend more time mowing and less time servicing equipment, the Z1-PX pairs maintenance-free spindles with simplified service points and easy-to-access transaxles.
“The Z1-PX was designed from the operator platform up to help commercial landscapers work faster, stay comfortable and reduce daily operating costs,” says Carissa Gingras, Vice President Marketing Turf & Consumer and Service, Briggs & Stratton. “This new unit is part of our expanding stand-on portfolio and is a prime example of the innovation coming from Ferris that gives crews the confidence and uptime they need to be successful.”
The mower is designed to deliver strong commercial performance with engine options that include a 23 HP Vanguard engine and 19 HP or 24 HP Kawasaki FX engine options. Its patent-pending AeroMax high-efficiency blade helps landscapers mow up to 20% more acres per gallon while preserving a clean, consistent cut, supporting both productivity and lower daily operating costs.
Ferris is also backing the Z1-PX with an improved limited warranty coverage of four years or 750 hours, whichever occurs first, with unlimited hours during the first two years of ownership.
