New From Kress: KR804 Voyager 60 in.
Kress Commercial is expanding its autonomous mowing line-up with the new Kress KR804 Voyager 60 in., a fully autonomous zero-turning radius designed to help professional landscapers increase productivity, optimize labor and profitably scale their operations.
Building on the capabilities of the KR800 Voyager 40 in. introduced last year, the new Voyager 60 in. adds a larger 60-in. cutting deck and increased battery capacity, extending the benefits of autonomous mowing to larger residential and commercial properties. The KR804 will make its official debut at Equip Expo in Louisville, Ky., and will be available for purchase through Kress dealers the same month.
“Last year, Kress introduced a new way to support the business models of professional landscapers with the KR800 Voyager 40 in. Now, we are taking another leap forward in autonomous mowing and expanding our commitment to propel the landscape industry forward,” says Don Gao, CEO and founder of Kress’ parent company, Positec. “With the KR804 Voyager 60 in., landscapers have the ability to maximize operational mowing savings of up to 80%, helping companies continue to scale profitably using current resources.”
Designed specifically for route-based landscaping operations, the KR804 integrates into the way professional crews already work. A one-time, manual mapping process establishes property boundaries, pathways and no-go zones. Once mapped, the Voyager can travel with crews from property to property and autonomously handle mowing while team members focus on higher-value landscaping tasks.
The KR804 combines real-time kinematic (RTK) technology, LiDAR, VisionAI and an advanced suite of sensors to deliver Level 5 autonomy, boundary-wire-free operation and centimeter-level mowing accuracy. Its 360° multi-sensor system detects and avoids obstacles while navigating mapped properties autonomously.
With its 60-in. cutting deck and mowing capacity of up to 2.5 acres per hour, the Voyager 60 in. is engineered to take on larger properties and increase the amount of work crews can accomplish in a day. A 38-kWh energy capacity provides all-day runtime and coverage of up to 19 acres on a single charge, with zero operational emissions.
Key features of the Kress KR804 60-in. Voyager include:
• Centimeter-level precision: RTK-guided autonomous mowing without boundary wires
• 360° obstacle detection: Multi-sensor detection and avoidance for autonomous operation
• High-capacity mowing: 60-in. cutting deck with capacity of up to 2.5 acres per hour
• Extended runtime: 38-kWh energy capacity supporting up to 19 acres of mowing on a single charge
• Flexible cutting performance: Adjustable cutting height from 1.25 to 5.5 in.
• Operating speed: 2.2 to 9 MPH
• Manual operation: Stand-on manual mode for initial mapping of boundaries, pathways and no-go zones, as well as manual mowing when needed
• Slope capability: Maximum slope of 25°
• Connected operation: Full digital integration through the Kress Commercial App
