North American Equipment Dealers Assn., Northeast Equipment Dealers Assn. Members Vote To Merge
The joint membership of the North American Equipment Dealers Assn. (NAEDA) and the Northeast Equipment Dealers Assn. (NEDA) have voted overwhelmingly in favor of moving forward with a merger of these two associations. It is anticipated that the merger will be completed in October 2024.
The vote by the members of each organization was overwhelmingly in favor of this merger. “We appreciate the high level of support from our members,” comments NAEDA Chairman Brad Hershey who also serves on the NEDA Board of Directors. NEDA Board Chairman Bryan Messick echoes Hershey’s comments and states, “Now that our members have ratified the merger resolutions, we will be implementing our transition plan and consolidating our resources—giving our members all the benefits NAEDA offers and continuing to provide strong state and local support for equipment dealers in the Northeast nine-state region.”
NAEDA will continue to represent dealers on important industry issues, including those involving manufacturer relations, and by providing federal government affairs services in Ottawa and Washington, D.C. Following the completion of the merger, NAEDA will also expand its state and local governmental affairs support to cover 41 states in the U.S., as well as in nine Canadian provinces.
The North American Equipment Dealers Assn. will continue to work with all regional equipment dealer associations in North America effectively representing agricultural, construction, industrial, forestry, outdoor power, lawn and garden and/or turf equipment dealers.
