Generac Opens Distribution Facility In Georgia
Generac has opened a new 500,000 sq. ft. distribution facility in Augusta, Ga.—one of their largest facilities to date. Products to be distributed to the Southeast from this location include whole standby generators and portable generators. The company hosted a ribbon cutting on September 4 with local dignitaries and others to mark the milestone.
The new facility will serve as Generac’s main facility for storm distribution, allowing for more timely and efficient distribution. Augusta was chosen for its strategic location to areas traditionally hit by severe weather in the Southeast. During remarks given at the ribbon cutting, Generac’s Kyle Raabe, Executive VP & President of Consumer Power, noted the bulk of power outages over the last two decades have come from weather-related events.
