Stihl Merges Distribution Branches
Stihl has announced a major organizational change designed to strengthen dealer support and streamline operations across its U.S. branch network. As of now, Stihl has united several branch territories to form two new strategic sales organizations: Mountain Pacific Stihl (MPS), merging Stihl Northwest (SNW), Pacific Stihl (PAS), and Intermountain Stihl (IMS); and North Atlantic Stihl (NAS), merging MidAtlantic Stihl (MAS) and Northeast Stihl (NES).
This unification is designed to streamline operations, enhance customer service, and improve efficiency across the U.S. With all current distribution centers remaining operational, the newly merged branches will offer faster response times, increased product availability, and expanded support services, all while maintaining Stihl’s long-standing commitment to excellence.
Mountain Pacific Stihl, led by 20-year Stihl veteran Jim Kneeland, and North Atlantic Stihl, led by 19-year Stihl veteran Jason Mabb, will leverage the combined strengths, infrastructure, and expertise of both branches to better serve dealers in a rapidly evolving market. As the industry shifts toward battery-powered equipment, this merger brings together deep regional knowledge to support dealers with innovative solutions and best-in-class service.
The official rebranding to Mountain Pacific Stihl and North Atlantic Stihl took effect on January 1, 2026, and many operational processes have already been integrated. Dealers will continue working with their existing representatives, and Stihl will continue to operate under the Stihl branch distributor model. All other Stihl branch and distributor regions will remain unchanged and continue to operate normally.
